Macaron in the Cruise Ship Interiors Awards finalists line-up
Now it’s your turn to vote for Macaron: the collection has been selected for the Best Furniture category by a prestigious jury of experts, including the Interior Design Directors of Carnival UK, MSC Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line and Princess Cruises.
The award now includes a public vote and we invite you to give Macaron your preference by clicking here.
Promoted by Cruise Ship Interiors Expo, the Award is an international showcase that rewards excellence of interior design for cruise ships and yachts.
Sophisticated and contemporary lines, enveloping comfort and a solid wood structure are the characteristics appreciated by the Jury in the Macaron collection. Features that, combined with its extreme versatility, make Macaron easily contextualized in every space of cruise ships, from the restaurants to the Club areas, from the suites to the cabins.
Particularly appreciated by the Jury, moreover, is Piaval’s consolidated know-how in the Health&Care sector, which allows the company to extend to Contract products some useful solutions to facilitate the sanitization processes to prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria.
On request, the wooden surface of Macaron can be fully treated with antibacterial coatings, while the wide choice of upholstery – ranging from fabric to leather – includes a selection of specific antibacterial coverings, that are resistant to treatment with aggressive sanitizers, and can be waterproofed and subjected to anti-stain treatments. This guarantees maximum hygiene, resistance and durability.
Designed for Piaval by Laura Silvestrini, the collection includes the armchair version, the lounge version and a two seat sofa.
A curved wood profile at the base of the seat characterizes its aesthetics and expresses Piaval’s craftsmanship in woodworking.
