Herringbone – design GarciaCumini
Versatile and functional: two adjectives that perfectly describe Herringbone, the new collection of chairs by GarciaCumini, presented at the Salone del Mobile 2019.
The essence of Herringbone is an enveloping shell in curved plywood, whose surface is marked by a graphic sign recurring in the world of decorative arts: the herringbone. In English, Herringbone.
Herringbone embodies a core value of Piaval’s philosophy: tailor-made design. The collection offers a range of responses to the different needs of contract, changing look and function depending on the base and accessories. Solid wooden legs, steel tubulars, race-shaped swivel bases… give life to a range of models, ranging from chairs to bar stools, office and waiting seats.
The possibility of making each model of Herringbone more comfortable, thanks to the cushion and armrests, is an option perfectly in line with the philosophy of Piaval, which has always paid attention to a design based on well-being and ergonomics.
